Our Education Sales Specialists grows outside sales, in our education market, by selling and promoting Snap-on branded and non-branded product to students at a dedicated campus. Additionally, our Education Sales Specialists develop and maintain contacts, as well as, professional relationships, with all levels of seniority at assigned accounts to leverage Snap-on’s position and capitalize on current and emerging customer needs.

Our Specialists not only mentor and support students, they also provide technical expertise and excellent customer service to the staff and faculty of these institutions.   • Utilize your strong interest in automotive technology, tools and equipment, as well as your high degree of mechanical aptitude, to mentor students both in the classroom and informal settings

  • Ensure students have identified the proper tools needed for the type of career and coursework they are pursuing

  • Provide exceptional service to both students and school representatives

  • Identify and meet the needs of the overall educational institution, leveraging your strong relationship with the administration and faculty

  • Conduct tool shows and safety demonstrations that illustrate the features and benefits of the Snap-on branded product

  • Promote the Snap-on brand and convey the value proposition of owning our premier quality tools

  • Prepare/present effective presentations including:

    o Technology

    o Current product knowledge and application

    o Safety and ergonomics

    o Promote operational effectiveness through support of programs and initiatives where they best serve the customer and company

  • Effectively leverage IMPACT and SEP applications to process quotes, place orders, and provide other information to customers

  • Support tool forecasting and ordering with bookstores

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree preferred

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of outside sales experience is preferred

  • Impeccable personal presentation with exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to all levels

  • Strong planning, organization and time management skills

  • Demonstrated success achieving established goals while growing the assigned territory

  • Solid problem solving and customer service skills

  • Technical aptitude and critical thinking capabilities in order to assist customers with specific application requirements

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Knowledge of Snap-on products, services and programs is preferred

  • Mechanical aptitude with an interest in automotive technology in tools and equipment, is preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
