Job Description:
Pay Range:
$38-42 per hour
Part Time Instructor- Evenings and Weekend ONLY
Evenings and weekend hours ONLY. No day hours are available.
Evening classes run M-F 5PM-10 PM and weekend classes run 8AM-4PM.
Requirements:
BSN Degree (may waive for extensive experience as an RN in LTC)
Two full years of RN experience
Minimum one-year (verified with letter on letterhead) experience in LTC (this means NURSING HOME or other like facility- hospital work does not qualify)
Train the Trainer Certification or Ability to Obtain (see requirements for this above)
RN License State of Michigan in Good Standing
CPR Certified (Helpful if able to teach CPR!)
Negative TB Test or Able to Provide Chest X-Ray
CANVAS LMS experience preferred
COVID19 Vaccine OR Qualified Exemption
Job Requirements:
Job Responsibilities:
Able to teach in our CNA program EVENINGS and WEEKENDS ONLY.
Accountable for the entire program; i.e., classroom, laboratory, and clinical hours with support from Program Director and Owners.
Excellent communication and professional skills required.
Ability to set strict professional boundaries with students.
Independent and self-sufficient; able to make professional decisions without supervision.
Able to effectively demonstrate hands-on techniques for nursing assistants.
Able to monitor lab hours of all students effectively and efficiently, and provide constructive feedback to students.
Provides instruction, support, and mentoring to all students under their instruction.
Able to lift 50+ lbs.
Able to discipline students according to PES policies and procedures.
Able to follow all rules and guidelines set forth by PES.
Able to use and utilize computer systems for sharing PPT presentations, and other technological requirements.
Able to use computer based LMS System.
Grades all assignments within 24 hours of student submission.
Is available for office hours to help students needing assistance or additional help.
Able to successfully supervise 12 nursing assistant students individually.
Provides feedback on clinical and lab performance in a constructive and positive manner to student.
Submits timesheets bi-weekly.
Submits all required documentation on time to Program Director. (Within 24 hours of the end of each class/course session.)
On-Site and available during entire clinical teaching time.
