Job Description:

Job Details: Our clinics in Bramton, Ontario requires full-time Family Physicians to join their supportive Family Practice for both in office and virtual appointments. Physicians interested in a team based and patient-centric approach to healthcare would be most suitable. The incoming physician will have the support of a large team and excellent administration staff where some duties can be delegated to. Clinic hours are currently variable with weekend and after hours shifts available, and there could be some evenings and weekends. Candidates with schedule flexibility would be ideal. Duties will include.
• Examine patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures and consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health;
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments;
• Provide emergency care;
• Provide acute care management;
• Vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases;
• Advise patients and their families on health care including health promotion, disease, illness and accident prevention;
• Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues;
• Perform patient advocacy role; and
• Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care.
Payment structure is via an hourly rate, with overhead costs and rate to be discussed with interested candidates. The range of potential annual earnings is $234,109-$479,212 this is a fee for service position.
Job Requirements:
Requirements:
• Must have successfully passed the MCCQE1 Exam, and plan to sit MCCQE2 within 12 months
• Postgraduate training from Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or USA
• Eligible for certification by the College of Family Physicians Canada (CFPC)
• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Graduation from an approved medical school and two to three years of family medicine residency training are required.
Successful Candidates will enjoy working in a clinic that is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and several exam rooms with virtual capabilities. The physician will be fully resourced and part of a team of 12 physicians.
