Job Summary:
Responsibilities for assisting the physicians in the exam rooms, for escorting and assisting patients within the Practice for setting up and maintaining the exam rooms in a readiness state for patients and for monitoring supplies and equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Escorts the patients to and from the exam room and assists the patient in necessary preparation for the physician visit.


2. Assists with the examination of the patient, as directed by the physician/nurse, regarding taking vital signs, weight, positioning, collection of specimens, etc.


3. Maintains the exam room between patient and physician use to ensure readiness for the next patient and physician.


4. Maintains other areas of the Practice, as directed by the Administrator/Physician.


5. Assists, as requested with the ordering, restocking and maintenance of supplies and equipment.


6. Performs the duties of the office manager or receptionist, as directed by the Administrator/Physician.


7. Participates as a member of a committee as requested by the Administrator/Physician.


8. All other duties assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Graduate of a school for medical technology, medical assistant program.


2. Certified medical technician/assistant.


3. Prior experience in a supervisor role.


4. Prior experience in a Physician's office or health care setting.
