Referral co-ordinator Job

SNI is hiring for a clinical referral coordinator for our client.

• Responsible for verifying coverage for all patients assigned as to their plan limitations, deductible, coinsurance, and co-pay. Verifies in-network/out-of-network medical benefits and obtains prior authorizations, pre-certifications and referral requests for all third-party insurances.


• Schedules patient appointments for all clinics within center.


• Processes referrals for services requested by Providers within established guidelines. Processes requests for additional referrals/authorizations when requested by patients and/or providers.


• Performs routine clerical duties, as needed.


• Supports the mission and vision of the Center, follows all clinic policies and procedures; attends individual and divisional meetings as required.

  High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience providing customer service in a health care setting.

  ICD-9 and CPT coding preferred. Completion of a medical terminology preferred. One year clerical/customer service experience in a health care setting. One year experience with billing third party payers. Computer experience for imputing data and reviewing patient demographic material required/preferred.
