Attorney Legislative Director State Policy Manager Director of Policy & Advocacy Manager Vice President Unit Supervisor Child Advocacy Early Learning, Positive Youth Development & Juvenile Justice, Child Welfare - Abuse & Neglect, Health, Economics, Law, Social Networking Safety & Effects, Mental Health, Education, Racial Equity, Family Support _ .

Responsible for analyzing data, monitoring the early care and education policy landscape, and recommending positions on related policy issues while directly supervising Policy Analysts, Outreach Associates, Campaign Coordinators, Messaging Techs and interns.

*** Track and analyze Early Learning developments related to passed legislation, proposed legislation, reauthorizations, and appropriations; legislative hearings, and briefings; proposed and final rulemaking; and other administrative actions.

*** Research and develop recommendations with respect supporting and promoting legislation

*** Author written background materials, talking points, fact sheets, briefs, and summaries.

*** Monitor the process of passing bills and implementing laws.

*** Develop written content for responses to proposed legislation and regulation.

*** Develop: policy statements and programmatic recommendations; formal responses to proposed rulemaking, and advocacy letters; recurring bulletins to funders, advocate audiences, and other constituencies.

*** Collect, prepare, and present data regarding Early Learning & Childcare team's policy work.

*** Coordinate the identification, collection and maintenance of accurate data sources to assist with supporting statistics in policy documents and statements and Communications Team in developing and executing advocacy and awareness-raising initiatives, including social media content, events, and video campaigns.

*** Collaborate with national and state advocates through coalition work to pursue program and policy changes affecting children and families.

*** Manage opportunities to leverage state advocacy to advance policy goals, including through tracking state implementation of federal programs and use of supplemental appropriations.
