Job Description:

  • Assist in developing control plans, inspection instructions and determining measuring equipment for new product implementation.

  • Participate in new product development, continuous improvement and other teams where use of quality planning techniques is appropriate. Facilitate feedback from floor audits and charts.

  • Assist personnel and suppliers with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

  • Assist with maintaining and improving of the Quality Management System.

  • Prepare and deliver quality reports and presentations.

  • Assist with training of employees regarding implementation of measuring equipment.

  • Inspects incoming parts using engineering drawings and specification sheets to ensure quality and conformance (PPAP).

  • Record inspection data applying quality control procedures. Maintain paperwork and test data of inspections.

  • Coordinate with purchasing for shipment of non-conforming material back to vendor.

  • Process of warranty claims/parts/procedures/problem identification and resolution

  • Perform quality audits as assigned.

  • Inspect in-house fabricated parts using engineering drawings and specifications sheets to ensure quality and conformance (MPAP).

  • Operate various measurement equipment (hand gauges, CMM, etc.)

  • High School or GED required.

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent related field preferred.

  • Two plus years' experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar industry.

  • Experience with machining, welding, forming, assembly and products associated with our industry highly desirable.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Ability to train others on quality principles and use of quality tools.

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
