Job Description:
DEGELMAN INDUSTRIES is in need of General Assembly Technician
NOC Code: 9526
Employment Terms: Permanent - Full Time
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Read drawings, blueprints and manuals to assist in assembly
2. Assemble a variety of Degelman products and parts in a manufacturing environment.
3. Fasten parts together using bolting and riveting equipment or other techniques
4. Align and adjust parts to proper fit and connect cables, tubes and wires
5. Assist in final quality control inspection
6. Operate small cranes to transport larger parts as needed.
7. Perform other related tasks as required
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
1. Knowledge on safety standards for equipment
2. Possess knowledge of agricultural equipment
3. Good English communication skills
4. Mechanically inclined and detail oriented
WORKING HOURS: Day Shift (6:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday), Night Shift (6:00pm to 4:30am, Monday to Thursday) with 30-minute lunch break, and Weekend Shift (7:00am to 7:30pm, Friday to Sunday)
WAGE/BENEFITS: $20.42 - $25.11 per hour (based on experience)
1. After 12 months of employment = 3 weeks paid vacation per year
2. After 12 months of employment = Dental and DPSP (Deferred Profit-Sharing Plan)
3. After 90-day evaluation = Company benefits such as Health and Prescription coverage, Life Insurance, Dependent Life, AD&D, Weekly Indemnity and Long-Term Disability, Health and Rx
