We are a high performing, financial services group that is looking for an experienced and highly qualified individual to join the Canadian team.

Head of International Acquisition
• Develop and manage sales budgets, consistently achieving revenue and EBITDA key results.
• Design, implement and manage acquisition strategy in delivering organisation growth strategy.
• Ability to assimilate and interpret complex information; ability to make a sound business case for changes that are needed; ability to apply principles to factual situations; ability to meet the needs of a variety of stakeholders while preserving institutional interest; strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Build vision, understand and define requirements, design practical solutions, and implement solutions
• Build a business development team including policies and procedures in achieving organisational growth.
• Recruit, coach, mentor and empower the future executive financial services teams of the company.
• Use managerial skills, including managing in a unionized environment.
• Manage a team of financial advisors in achieving the acquisition strategy of the organisation.
• Provide operational assistance across the organisation, achieving key company growth and financial goals.
• Liaise with people calmly and effectively in sensitive situations and to maintain confidentiality.
• Liaise with senior administrators, responding to and handling matters of a complex and sensitive nature.
• Manage varied financial and human resources policies, procedures and collective agreements.
• Analyse and interpret financial and sales data, and prepare business reports, projections, and recommendations.
• Manage day-to-day challenges and opportunities as they arise, finding innovative and repeatable solutions that can be implemented to drive continuous improvements focusing on processes, digital tools, and people to achieve results.

Financial Advisor duties
• Provide dedicated relationship management, complex financial services support, and exceptional client service
• Take responsibility for a large portfolio and helping clients plan for today’s needs and tomorrow’s goals
• Proactively engage with many new and existing clients to make lasting connections and provide comprehensive financial service, enabling them to secure their futures, own their homes, and build their businesses.
• Deliver trusted investment advice and provide comprehensive financial planning support to enhance existing relationships.
• Provide personal financial advice to the Canadian public and to potential immigrants in the process if immigration to Canada from South Africa and to Canadians with South African financial assets.

Education
• Master’s Degree in business preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting or Business required.

Industry Certifications
• Registered Certified Financial Planner or an acceptable equivalent
• Registered Chartered Public Accountant or an acceptable equivalent
• Authorized in South Africa to provide personal financial advice as a member of the Financial Services Conduct Authority of South Africa or enrolled/registered to become a member
• Authorized in Canada to provide personal financial advice as a member of Investment Industry Regulatory Organisation of Canada and the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada or enrolled/registered to become a member

Experience Requirements
• Related professional experience and a demonstrated experience
• Related professional experience including a minimum of 5 years experience in a managerial position
• Experience managing budgets, P&L and KPIs
• Demonstrated experience liaising with senior administrators, responding to and handling matters of a complex and sensitive nature
• Highly developed leadership skills with exceptional EQ, adept at building, leading and inspiring high-performance teams
• Ability to analyse and interpret financial and sales data, and prepare business reports, projections, and recommendations
• Intellectually disciplined with the ability to make quick decisions
• Self-confidence matched with a willingness to collaborate and successfully engage with colleagues
• Proven ability to lead teams to successful results

Wages and Benefits

• CAD132 000 per annum
