Job Description:

The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Supervisor, Research Laboratory to work on the UHealth Campus. The Supervisor, Research Laboratory oversees clinical data and complex research protocols and coordinates clinic and research activities. Further, the incumbent takes initiative in the design, implementation, and coordination of research studies.



  • Keeps all laboratory equipment in good working order and makes minor repairs

  • Evaluates the availability of resources for research studies and the impact of studies on resources.

  • Prepare reports setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations.

  • Assist in the determination of fiscal requirements and in the preparation of budgetary recommendations.

  • Maintain and manage transgenic mouse strains and assist in mouse experiment design and execution

  • Organize and maintain laboratory inventories for distribution of unique reagents to the scientific community

  • Keeps all laboratory equipment in good working order and makes minor repairs.

  • Prepares lab solutions, reagents, and media and/or laboratory apparatus, as needed to carry out laboratory work

CORE QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate research laboratory operations.

  • Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.

  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.

  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
