A fast growing early stage biotech company is hiring a Research Associate - In Vitro Drug Discovery in the SF Bay area. This is a biotechnology company with active research programs related to age-related diseases with a focus on fibrosis and respiratory disorders. This role will help build the capabilities needed for translational research and development, advancing the discovery of molecular targets and therapeutics.

Research Associate - In Vitro Drug Discovery Responsibilities:



  • Execute experimental research protocols involving mammalian cell culture, cell-based and biochemical assays for drug discovery.



  • Contribute to the development of new experimental protocols.



  • Assist with the organization and maintenance of equipment, supplies and reagents.



  • Maintain detailed, accurate and up-to-date lab records.



  • Learn new techniques and skills.



  • Work collaboratively on projects while driving individual contributions.



  • Regularly present generated data to colleagues.




Research Associate - In Vitro Drug Discovery Requirements:



  • Bachelor degree in biology, molecular biology, or cell biology, or a related field.



  • 2+ years of laboratory experience in research, preferably in industry.



  • Experience with a variety of cellular and molecular biology techniques, including mammalian cell culture.



  • Strong written and oral communication skills.



  • Passionate about life sciences research and drug discovery.
