Job Description:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for providing overall direction for plant maintenance focusing on equipment reliability, capital project management, facilities/utilities maintenance, and systems support to production. This position will continually improve equipment and utility reliability and implement cost efficiency measures.

Job Requirements:

-Provide leadership, vision, and long term strategy to the Maintenance Department, which includes; Safety, Reliability, Mechanical Integrity/PSM, Planning and Scheduling, Mobile Equipment, and Infrastructure
-Create and promote an environment within the Maintenance and Engineering group that achieves incident-free safety and environmental performance
-Establish, develop, and implement maintenance management systems including work order systems, mechanical integrity programs, maintenance standards and procedures
-Frequently access PLCs for troubleshooting and programming of production assets
-Manage the capital spend at the site to ensure safe and cost-effective installations, reliability in design, and accomplished within the approved capital spend budget as needed for asset replacement, reliability upgrades, process improvements, and asset refurbishment
-Control Maintenance budget; identify and implement cost savings opportunities within these functions
-Manage the plant Maintenance/Reliability Metrics and develop plans to improve the organization and area Key Performance indicators
-Work collaboratively with operations to achieve operational goals to meet production demands and minimize cost
-Drive root cause identification and analysis for maintenance-related failures and identify opportunities to improve
-Responsible for providing technical support to plant safety and environmental programs
-Responsible as an on-call contact for high priority issues and emergencies
-Manage the maintenance department staff, train, coach, give feedback, set schedules, and support payroll
-Provides leadership through effective communications, coaching, training, and development
-Manages, trains, develops, evaluates, and oversees the responsibilities of the respective production team are being completed in an acceptable manner
-Ensure annual goals are complete and communicated
-Address issues effectively when problems arise and take initiative to understand the root cause, then communicate / education team in a timely manner
-Serve as a role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies, and procedures
-Completion of any specific projects assigned
-Other duties as needed/required to meet company goals


-College degree or equivalent combination of training, and experience
-10+ years of experience in the maintenance field including leadership and management experience in a manufacturing environment
-Experience with CMMS systems required; Emaint experience a plus
-Experience working with and programming VFDs and HMIs is also required
-PLC programming experience is a must; Allen Bradley and Omron
-Strong knowledge of process, mechanical, electrical, and control systems
-Strong knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations
-Maintenance management expertise in applying key performance indicators to measure and improve maintenance performance including maintenance planning and scheduling
-Ability to manage multiple projects with varied priorities and drive them to completion
-Knowledge of best practices for fixed equipment inspections and preventative/predictive maintenance strategies
-Work requires strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing of tall ladders, lifting objects weighing up to 75 pounds, crouching or crawling in restrictive areas, and exposure to extreme temperatures
