Job Description:

The Department of Public Health Sciences has an exciting opportunity for a Part-time Research Support Coordinator to work on the UHealth Campus. The Research Support Coordinator performs a variety of duties involved in the collection, compilation, documentation, and analysis of clinical and genetic research data for multiple assigned studies. Moreover, the incumbent organizes and coordinates professional development with the project team and acts as liaison between the University and project partners.



  • Meets with study participants to explain the purpose of the study and study procedures and obtains informed consent.

  • Assists with the preparation and monitoring of IRB documents, administers clinical interviews, and coordinates all assessment and patient contact activity.

  • Ensures that relevant protocols are implemented in a rigorous fashion and supervises the implementation of data quality assurance procedures.

  • Monitors revenue cycle for external contracts and relationships, including functions outsourced, core and bolt-on technologies, specialty recovery vendors, and collection agencies.

  • Screens and meets with study participants to explain the purpose of the study and study procedures and obtains informed consent.

  • Collects clinical and survey data, enters and manages database, performs queries, and generates progress reports; and analyzes field and survey data.

  • Assists with the preparation and monitoring of IRB documents, administers clinical interviews, and coordinates all assessment and patient contact activity.

  • Ensures that relevant protocols are implemented in a rigorous fashion and supervises the implementation of data quality assurance procedures.

  • Records research procedures and results; maintains records and coding data for input; collects, processes, and maintains biological sample bank.

  • Performs various research support activities including literature reviews, obtaining and managing all reference materials.

  • Arranges and operates various scientific apparatuses; orders supplies and equipment; completes applications and forms and participates in meetings, conferences and training groups.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.

  • Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.

  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
