The Global Machinery & Equipment Procurement Team is seeking a Procurement Sr. Specialist to provide sourcing expertise for capital projects with focus on management of the Electrical Controls and Power Distribution Category. Excellent project management, LEAN systems and relationship management skills are highly valued. We use innovative thinking and analysis to deliver results to the businesses we support.

The primary responsibilities for the role include managing and influencing purchases of equipment and services to meet business/project needs, collaborating with global business units, Engineering, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams as well as managing relationships with key suppliers and internal customers. A structured strategic sourcing strategy and process is used to manage the entire contract life cycle from Request for Proposal to supplier exit.

Successful candidates will have industry experience in how to manage bids and contracts across multiple Global locations and to drive multiple stakeholders relationships and expectations within the K-C Personal Care business.

Utilizing this structured strategic sourcing process, you will:

Work with internal customers to develop sourcing strategies for equipment and services which will best meet business needs at the lowest total cost of ownership.

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet or exceed internal customer needs.

Solicit, evaluate, negotiate, and award contracts for specific purchases (technical and/or commercial aspects) as well as administer contracts as required.

Negotiate and implement, in conjunction with technical leaders and corporate attorneys, joint development agreements with strategic suppliers.

Analyze supply base, reduce risk, and optimize total cost to maximize value for Kimberly-Clark.

Lead or co-lead initiatives to eliminate waste and variability in the supply chain including planning, managing, and implementing major projects in a repeatable process to realize results.

Job Requirements:
Minimum/Basic Qualifications:

Bachelorís Degree in Engineering or a related discipline is a plus

8 years or more of work experience in an engineering, procurement, project management, operations, or similar role (including mill and/or staff experiences).

Experience in leading by influence

Multilingual skills a plus

Travel 10-20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelorís Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

Advanced Degree (MBA or equivalent)

Multiple language skills

Global Procurement Skills including low-cost country sourcing experience

Familiarity with Kimberly-Clark Machinery and Equipment supply base
