Direct the operation of the Stores Warehouse. Manage the receipt, storage and issuance of all maintenance supplies, operating supplies, current material, spare parts, certain chemicals, and appropriation equipment. Manage the ATS processing procedure, item re-order and inventory of stocked items. Coordinate stores training.
Operating team leaders, operating teams, maintenance skilled partners, technical team leader, technical resources, purchasing, finance, corporate stores and corporate purchasing.
Direct the operation of the Stores Warehouse so as to meet internal customer requirements to provide materials and parts to manufacturing operations at the lowest inventory cost.
Direct the operation of the Stores Warehouse in a way which meets Corporate and Mill internal control practices.
Plan and maintain storage areas for disposition and protection of materials.
Develop and implement programs and systems which cause continuous improvement in service efficiency and cost reduction.
Problem solve issues with finance and purchasing functions to ensure correctly valued inventory and processing of payment to vendors.
Lead special projects to meet functional or Mill operating objectives.
Manage Stores partner development (i.e. coaching, performance evaluations, training, etc.).
Provide leadership to ensure our organization attracts, develops and retains the best people and fosters an environment which motivates a diverse team to fully use its capabilities in achieving desired business results.
Comply with the standards and requirements of the Loudon Mill EHS Management System.
Ensure that all activities support Loudon and Sector policies and regulations.
Identify all aspects and hazards in areas of accountability and ensure they are managed to acceptable levels of risk.
Report and investigate to the Loudon standard all substandard acts and conditions.
Either through ownership of a standard or element or participation in an EHS team, continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the Loudon EHS System setting objectives to ensure we close the gaps to standard.
Ensure that internal customer requirements are met for the receipt, storage, retrieval and inventory of parts and materials.
Ensure that Stores employees perform tasks safely.
Ensure that Stores transactions meet internal control requirements.
Provide user assistance for the Stores system.
Support operating team development to become self-regulating.
Monitor performance against key KPI’s and set goals to achieve exceptional performance.
Reports to the MIT Team Leader
Member of the Mill Information Team which provides a broad range of administrative, financial, and logistics support to both the Bath Tissue and Handtowel manufacturing units in the Mill
MIT Team Leader helps set functional objectives and performance expectations
Expected to use judgment in setting priorities, organizing work to be accomplished and following-up to ensure successful completion
Responsible for understanding the Stores procedures manual and implementing each phase to ensure compliance with Corporate and Mill management
Provides work direction to Stores partners to ensure work assignments are carried out in compliance with internal controls and coordinates the day-to-day function of the Stores Warehouse
Responsible for all receipts, storage, inventory, audits, and, if necessary, liquidation of obsolete items
Consults with other Mill employee at all levels on compliance with internal control requirements
Instructs and coaches other Mill employees on the effective use of information systems applications which support stores services
Often interacts with Corporate Purchasing and Stores Services Staff
The position requires a bachelor’s degree or 2 or more years of raw material and/or spare parts inventory control related experience.

Directing the work of others who are working on a rotating assignment and coordinating the training for those rotating positions.

Transferring knowledge of, and functional competency in, information systems applications to systems users.
Developing ways to simplify practices and systems so as to maintain a high level of efficiency and productivity demanded by minimal support staffing.
