Business Development Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieves sales and profit goals for the region.

  • Presents Company to customers by providing product, pricing, literature, clinical evaluations and general sales support.

  • Follows corporate sales policies and procedures for pricing, quotations, product configuration and discounting.

  • Effectively utilizes clinical application support and interacts with customer service and other support personnel throughout the Company. Maintains an accurate, up-to-date sales track database and provides management with sales forecasts, competitive information, and lost business analysis.

  • Manages territory expenses.

  • Generates sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites and other sources

  • Travels to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.

  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.

  • Assists in investigating and resolving customer problems with deliveries.

  • Attends trade shows.

  • Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.

  • Other duties as required


  • Bachelor's degree preferred. High School Diploma or its equivalent required.

  • 5 years' experience in medical capital equipment sales; will consider a combination of relevant sales experience and pulmonary function expertise.

  • PFT, RRT, metabolic or exercise physiology background a plus.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, communication skills and presentation skills required.

  • Valid driver's license required.

  • Self-motivated and efficient with time management.
