Job Description: Family Support Coordinator: Camp Hill, PA
The Center for Schools and Communities (CSC) a statewide education, training and technical assistance organization, is seeking qualified candidate for a full-time position as Family Support Coordinator.
Seeking a candidate who can support local programs with implementation of evidence-based home visiting and other family support models within the context of statewide human service, early care and education and health systems. The Family Support Coordinator has primary responsibility for initiating and maintaining regular communication with Parents as Teachers affiliates and Childrens Trust Fund grantees in support of the local program meeting model and grant requirements. The work with programs emphasizes a strengthens based partnership and encourages programs understanding of the Strengthening Families Protective Factors. The position includes work with the Family Support Team to carry out professional learning opportunities and communities of practice for constituents, and collaboration and networking with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities include: Project Development, Planning and Implementation Liaison Services Data Collection, Evaluation and Information Processing Inter-Project Coordinator
Salary: $48,600 55,200 dependent on qualifications. This is an exempt position working a 260 day per year, 12-month work schedule. Job Requirements: Minimum requirements include: Minimum requirements are a Bachelor's degree in education, social work, family studies, or a related area of study, experience with family strengthening and support, evidence-based prevention and home visiting programs (preferably the Parents as Teachers model), and minimum five (5) years of related, full-time, paid experience. Preference for person with bi-lingual (English/Spanish) skills. Experience in implementing large scale programs and provision of implementation support and technical assistance. Extensive knowledge of and experience in evidence-based programs and best practices to achieve positive outcomes for children and families in home, school and community settings. Experience in program planning, development, cross systems coordination and collaboration. Experience in planning and facilitation of professional development offerings. Experience with work involving children and families, and an understanding of Federal, State and local family serving systems. Excellent research skills, utilizing the internet as well as print and other sources. Excellent critical and analytical thinking skills. Understanding of program evaluation methodologies. Understanding of adult theories of learning and organizational development. Knowledge of human service, education and health systems. Understanding of group dynamics and group facilitation/training skills. Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and data systems. Email and experience managing file sharing with Google Drive. Adept at using virtual meeting platforms such as Skype, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent verbal skills, including presentation experience. Excellent writing skills, including experience in writing for professional publications including resource and research articles, grants, web newsletters and correspondence. Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize the task based on project deadlines.
