Sincubator Inc. is a business incubation and acceleration services company located in Richmond, BC. We are currently looking for an editor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a team player that works hard and wants to progress their career.

Job Responsibilities:
• Evaluate suitability of manuscripts, articles, news copy and wire service dispatches for the electronic media of company and recommend or make changes in content, style and organization
• Read and edit copy to be published to detect and correct errors in spelling, grammar and syntax, and shorten or lengthen copy as space or time requires
• Plan and implement layout or format of copy according to space or time allocations and significance of copy
• Design and standardize the format and layout, correctly assign the time and space for the contents based on their significance
• Plan coverage of upcoming events and assign work accordingly
• Communicate with sponsors to understand their needs and requirements, then allocate appropriate space and time for advertisement
• Write or prepare introductions, marketing and promotional materials, and other text
• Release content on papers, video platforms, websites, and social media platforms such as WeChat public account, monitor the communication effect and flow and report to the manager
• Evaluate if the contents of articles and videos are appropriate enough, advise on changing contents, wording , and sentence rephrase if needed
• Allocate the work accordingly and supervise staff’s job schedule, make sure that the reports and videos will be produced, released and published on time.
• Hold routine meetings with editors to ensure that their work complies with the editorial policies

Job Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism or a related discipline is required
3 years of experience in journalism, writing, and publishing of a related field are required
Chinese speaking, writing and reading as an asset.
