Job Description:
Scorte Alimentari Importing Inc. offers the highest quality standards when it comes to importing and distribution of, for example, dry goods such as specialty flours, preserved foods such as olives and olive oil, hot peppers, canned tomatoes and sauces), coffee, chocolate, and various types of packaging, tableware and glassware items.
At this time, we are looking for a highly experienced Logistics Supervisor for a full-time, permanent position to assist the company in bringing its operational processes to new heights. This role requires an experienced professional in the field of logistics and transportation.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
• Plan, arrange, and supervise operational logistics of the company
• Manage day-to-day activities related to driver dispatch, scheduling, and routing
• Prepare regular reports that include timelines, corporate metrics, and productivity measurements
• Analyze and log purchase orders commensurate to existing stock availability to reduce shipping cost.
• Support simplification and standardization of supply-chain processes to accelerate logistics and enhance efficiencies
• Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to top management
• Conduct training and coaching of other team members, if needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Completion of secondary school
• At least 3 years of experience in logistics
• Profound knowledge and understanding of logistics operations
• High proficiency in English
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
COMPENSATION & CONDITIONS:
• Permanent, full-time position
• 37.5-hour work week
• $26.00 per hour with applicable overtime pay after 44 hours of work per week
