Job Description:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. *Manage the external auditing process, from preparation, facilitation, to ensuring the response to eventual findings on time.

  2. *Manage the internal auditing processes, including the management of Corrective Actions and Opportunities for Improvement.

  3. *Support or Lead the Calibration process: ensure gages are calibrated before their due date, that all records are kept appropriately, and that an investigation is launched if a tool is found out of calibration.

  4. *Supervise the destructive testing laboratory: review and approve test reports, manage qualification of lab technicians and manage the budget.

  5. *Manage the Archiving process: ensure compliance to archiving and record control procedures.

  6. *Manage the Document Control process: ensure compliance of new and updated procedures and Forms to the process.

  7. Support shelf life management: support Operations to ensure no material is used beyond its shelf life.

  8. *Lead and participate in FMEA, DoE, MSA and 8D activities

  9. *Maintain assigned QMS systems (e.g. calibration, audits, document control, CAPA) for assigned products and processes

  10. Prepare and present reporting internally and to the customer on process and product status and improvement activities

  11. Conduct appropriate supplier, QMS, process and operator audits

  12. Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in appropriate science, engineering or engineering technology field or three 3+ years of manufacturing experience as a Quality engineer or Manufacturing engineer, or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  2. Experience with AS9100D, ISO17025 preferred

  3. Experience in destructive testing, mechanical testing (e.g. tensile tests), and chemical testing in a laboratory environment

  4. Proficiency in leading RCCAs

  5. Understanding of SPC methodologies and statistical analysis (Hypothesis testing, Capability Analysis, DoE, R&R, MSA)

  6. Some knowledge in Transact-SQL querying on SQL Server

  7. Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI, or Tableau

  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio

  9. Requires a strict attention to detail

  10. Excellent oral and written communication skills
