The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", is seeking a full-time Coordinator, Value Analysis for the Healthcare Supply Chain Department. The Value Analysis Coordinator is responsible for performing various duties and functions in support of value analysis, analytics and contract management programs as directed by the Value Analysis-Clinical Resource Manager(s) and Analytics, Optimization and Quality team within UHealth's Supply Chain Management Department.

  • Reports to the Value Analysis Director and supports the Value Analysis-Clinical Resource Manager(s), Contract Specialists, VAC Chairs and Service Line Leaders

  • Works in collaboration with VAC Chairs, Service line Leaders, Contract Specialists, and Value Analysis-Clinical Resource Manager to identify and prioritize cost savings opportunities following standardized process involving a DRG value analysis methodology

  • Has proactive interaction with user-departments for improved cost management through Service Line Initiatives

  • Staffs and coordinates standardized VAC processes to meet service line objectives to include creating VAC agendas, presentation slide decks, and other administrative duties as needed

  • Supports the VACs in their efforts to reduce expenses by introducing new opportunities for their review and performing preliminary analysis on opportunities generated from the VACs

  • Meets established deadlines and achieves desired outcome for each VAC meeting of which the Coordinator is a participant

  • Leads the implementation/conversion of supply contracts

  • Documents VAC results and completes tracking documents

  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and financial information in all dealings with suppliers and other non-UHealth entities

  • Maintains regular contact with all staff levels within UHealth's Supply Chain Management Department, as well as clinical, administrative, professional, and support departments represented by the VACs of which the Coordinator is a participant

  • Actively supports and participates in accomplishing the strategic goals of the Supply Chain Management Department and of UHealth

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a closely related field of study; preferably in healthcare, business administration or other related area

  • One year of relevant experience; project management experience preferred

  • Ability to interpret and perform basic statistical and financial analysis

  • Possess a high level of proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, databases, and presentations

  • Skilled in using software tools to interpret, communicate and present information in a clear, concise manner

  • General knowledge of office procedures and operations.

  • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.

  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
