Senior Site-Work Construction Project Manager
Our firm is pleased to be representing a commercial excavating and utilities sub-contractor located in Denver that is currently looking to add a Project Manager that has previous experience with commercial site-work and utilities. This is an immediate need! Our represented sub-contractor operates nationally in four specific business units: Earthwork, Site Utilities, Demolitions, and Environmental Remediation. The organization promotes continuing education; it seeks value engineering in all projects and takes pride in the reputation it has acquired as one of the top site-work contractors to use for the services they provide.
Project Manager (Commercial Site-work Construction)
Description of Duties / Responsibilities:
Major duties include business development and pursuing negotiated sales leads with current and new customers. The preparation, review and approval of cost estimates for small to large commercial earthwork / utility projects. Experience in takeoff preparation and bid solicitation, project scheduling, negotiating scope and cost changes is needed. Finally, contract / budget administration for the projects is also a large part of the selected duties of the right candidate for this position. The Project Manager will oversee 1-5 projects simultaneously. Field Superintendents manage field operations for the projects.
· Possess the skills needed to estimate, procure, and manage site work construction projects in a team oriented / multi-location environment.
· Willingness and tenacity to pursue project leads on a national basis.
· Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other related schooling specialty
· 7+ years of work experience in site work or related construction industry.
· Computer literate with multiple estimating and takeoff programs. Examples would include but are not limited to: AgTek, B2W, HCSS, etc.
· Maintain established professional contacts with vendors, suppliers, and General Contractors
