Job Description:
The Senior GeoBase Analyst will support an Air Force mission by provide geospatial solutions to attain, maintain, and sustain the PACAF and AFIMSC GeoBase vision of one geospatial information structure that electronically depicts built and natural infrastructure on each Air Force installation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Will work closely with our government counterparts daily to plan and execute projects such as creating solutions for users of GIS technology, GIS data development and maintenance, web application development
Coordinate GIS training and the maintenance and accreditation of the GeoBase hardware and software
Assist with the goal of helping the Air Force organizations get the most out of GIS technology.
Supervisory/Management Authority:

This position will not have supervisory or management authority


Job Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:

A Masters in Science degree in a Scientific or Technical discipline is strongly desired
A bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training and expertise is required
Five (5) years of experience with the use and administration of Esri’s ArcGIS Desktop and Server solution
Experience with GIS data development and integrating enterprise geospatial applications into new and existing business processes
Experience providing formal and informal training
Experience troubleshooting desktop, web, database, server problems in a DoD environment
Experience with the USAF GeoBase Program
Experience with ArcPortal
Experience with Leica GeoSystems software
Experience with Autodesk’s AutoCAD 3D Map
Experience with Trimble's resource, mapping, and survey grade GPS solutions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to provide formal and informal technical training
Knowledge of advanced relational database concepts
CompTIA’s FSA/IAT Level II/CompTIA Security+
Ability to produce technical documentation
Familiarity with web mapping applications using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS Proficiency with server side software to include Internet Information Server (IIS), ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server, Oracle
Knowledge of SDSFIE
Programming and scripting experience
Familiarity with server-side software to include Internet Information Server (IIS) and Oracle
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills; both oral and written
An Active Secret Clearance verifiable through JPAS
The ability to successfully pass a drug screen and a federal background check is mandatory
Work Environment:

This position is primarily performed in a secured federal office setting, a controlled office environment as well as working outside in a job site environment.
