Job Description:
CAPE BRETON CAUSEWAY INN is looking for a Full-time and Permanent Maintenance Supervisor.
Work Location: 21 Old Victoria Rd, Port Hastings, Nova Scotia B9A 1L2
Salary: $22/hr ($40,040 annual)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Benefit: 10 days of paid vacation per year
Job duties
Supervise and participate in the full upkeep of our preventative maintenance program, including the keeping of logs on work done, scheduling, and the assignment of projects and other related tasks.
Review the maintenance request log and resolve all issues in a timely manner.
Coach and support the maintenance team to effectively manage controllable expenses.
Maintain property life-safety systems.
Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.
Ensure building, equipment, and operating licenses, permits, and certifications are current, as well as compliance with the province, local, and federal regulations.
Maintain up-to-date logs of heat, water, light, and power systems, as well as an inventory of repair/maintenance supplies.
Address potential areas of concern and propose solutions to management in a proactive manner.
Administer service contracts to support property needs.
Job Requirements:
Languages: Fluent in English
Education: Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree
Experience: 1+ years of prior technician/maintenance/relevant trade experience required.
