Sangoma Technologies Corporation is actively looking to hire one (1) - Business Intelligence (BI) Data Analyst (NOC 2172) for a permanent, full time position to work in our Markham, Ontario location.

Sangoma Technologies Corporation develops, manufactures, distributes, and supports voice and data connectivity components worldwide. The company also provides fax-over-IP services and SIPStation, FreePBX SIP trunks; private branch exchange (PBX) platforms, including FreePBX and PBXact; contact center solutions, including Lyra answering machine detection. Sangoma Technologies Corporation is looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Data Analyst to join our Revenue Operations Team to help drive sales and marketing performance improvements within the business. Not only do you have to have a strong technical skill set, but you’ll also have to demonstrable stakeholder management, influencing and relationship building skills in order to help make recommendations and advise the business. We work in a fast-paced environment here at Sangoma, so you’ll also need to be highly organized and have the ability to manage your time effectively. We are seeking someone who is technically strong using business intelligence tools.

Job Duties: The Business Intelligence (BI) Data Analyst shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following job tasks:

• Gather BI requirements from business teams.
• Build and deliver high quality analytical solutions using BI tools.
• Compile monthly/quarterly reports for analysis, forecasting and commissions.
• Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for internal staff.
• Present actionable insights and recommendations to business leaders to improve revenue performance.
• Become a trusted business partner to Sales and Go-To-Market leadership, and play a critical role scaling the company’s rapidly growing revenue operations organization.

Skills, Experience and Education Required:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative/technical field (e.g., Business Analytics, Statistics, Engineering).
• 3+ years of relevant experience in one of the following areas: Business intelligence, data engineering, database engineering or business analytics.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries across large data sets.
• Knowledge of statistical and optimization modeling.
• Experience with using data visualization tools like Grafana, Tableau, Qlikview, Mode, etc
• Experience with salesforce.com
• Understanding of marketing and sales strategies
• Experience in working and delivering end-to-end projects independently.
• Previous practical experience within a data analyst role, preferably within a Sales, Marketing or Commercial setting
• Proven success in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe data modeling decisions and data engineering strategy.

Specific Skills:

• Lead and co-ordinate teams of data administrators in the development and implementation of data policies, standards and models
• Write scripts related to stored procedures and triggers
• Conduct research and provide advice to other information systems professionals regarding the collection, availability and suitability of data
• Develop policies and procedures for network access and usage and for the backup and recovery of data
• Research and document data requirements, data collection and administration policy, and data access rules
• Develop and implement data administration policy, standards and models
• Conduct research and provide advice to other informatics professionals regarding the selection application and implementation of database management tools
• Operate database management systems to analyze data
• Design, construct, modify, implement and test data models and database management systems
• Design and develop database
• Collect and document user's requirements
