Salary & Benefits: Salary is $40,336.58. Compensation package is comprised of many college paid benefits including health and life insurance, retirement, leave time, and tuition waivers for Santa Fe College and the University of Florida.
Classification: Full-time, Technical Professional, Exempt, Pay Grade PT 3.

The Dental Clinic Manager oversees the facilities, as well as assist with the operational, fiscal and administrative management of the clinic. This position will act as the records custodian for the clinic, provide academic and instructional support to students and faculty, assist with reporting, well as provide support and leadership to the Dental Clinic, students, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities and duties include:
• Provide a professional, helpful, welcoming atmosphere and a positive attitude for faculty, staff and visitors to the Dental Clinic.
• Oversee and assist with routine administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing the incoming calls, scheduling patient appointments, as well as confirming patient appointments.
• Respond to various inquiries, questions and concerns, resolve issues and make appropriate referrals as needed.
• Distribute and collect patient satisfaction surveys, retain, inventory and organize forms, as well as oversee, maintain and purge all patient records and files.
• Maintain HIPAA standards, protect patient health information, handle the release of information, maintain and uphold clinic policies and procedures, as well as the data entry of patient data in Eaglesoft.
• Manage and maintain the appointment booking software for the clinic, as well as the technical component of the digital radiography software and sensors including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs, periodic updates, and software installation.
• Oversee the use of the Dental Lab and Dental Clinic activities such as training, accounting and reconciliations, payment posting and collections, budgeting, planning, and reporting.
• Assist with the interviewing, hiring, scheduling and supervision of work study students, educational aides and part-time, temporary support employees.
• Strictly honor the privacy, security and confidentiality of student and patient records, as well as other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal, HIPAA and college regulations, policies and procedures.
• Provide hands-on training on relevant topics, like HIPAA, records, scheduling, appointment maintenance, professionalism, computer software, fiscal responsibilities, and treatment planning.
• Assist in the coordination and preparation of events, including ADEX clinical state boards held on site.
• Communicate, collaborate and maintain working relationships with community constituents, partners, private dental practices, as well as the UF College of Dentistry.
• Participate in departmental meetings and college committees as appropriate.
• Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) years of related work experience in the medical or dental field, or an Associate’s degree in a relevant field with four (4) years of related work experience in the medical or dental field, or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with two (2) years of related work experience in the medical or dental field is required.

Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.

Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with at least two (2) years of dental office experience, one (1) year of experience with accounting, data entry, scheduling, Eaglesoft or similar program, as well as one (1) year of experience with digital radiography and operational components are preferred. A Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) or a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification is also preferred.
