Job Description:
Seeking entry-level Production Operator to perform good manufacturing practices while following food safety guidelines and requirements.
Duties:
-Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shift 5:00 PM 5:30 AM
-Must ensure proper sealing, closing, labeling, handling and storage of all cheese barrels.
-Produce bulk parmesan and cheddar cheese barrels that are used by other food processors to create finished cheese products.
-Weigh bags, as well as scanning and placing labels on the cheese barrels.
Perform general cleaning tasks in area.
-Must move barrels.
Job Requirements:
Ability to work in a manufacturing team environment
Ability to perform basic math equations
Ability to utilize basic computer & software programs
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to perform problem-solving skills
Ability to work variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime while maintaining prompt and regular job attendance
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position walking, standing, lifting items up to 50 lbs., bending, lifting, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms above shoulders and head, standing, working in enclosed areas, climbing stairs or ladders, and operating heavy machinery.
Must be able to work in a cold and/or hot environment (will have to work in cooler at times)
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.
Experience:
6 months of verifiable work experience.
Preferred experience:
Prior manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
At times, you may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety gloves, hearing protection, a respirator or dust mask, protective footwear and protective clothing or uniforms. Work may be performed in cold and/or hot temperatures and the environment can be dusty. Physical requirements further include the ability to engage in productive and collaborative communication with co- workers and work may need to be performed during non-standard hours, including nights and weekends.
At times, the ability to work overtime also may be required. The ability to perform these requirements is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. *Night Shift Differential pay +$0.80 per Hour= $22.06 Hour
