Sparta Health Inc. has established a reputation for outstanding quality in occupational health services for over the last 15 years. Company office is located at #200 - 1847 Marine Dr. in West Vancouver, BC. We are currently looking for talented graphic designer who can join our team as soon as possible. This is a full time (37,5h weekly), permanent position for artistic individuals with relevant degree and background in multimedia design. We offer competitive wage rate and 10 days of paid vacation. All applicants should be able to communicate in English. However given the demographics in Lower Mainland, ability to communicate in a second language will be an asset.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials in order to meet their needs
• Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication
• Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives
• Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements of the subjects to be rendered using traditional tools, multimedia software and image processing, layout and design software
• Estimate cost of materials and time to complete graphic design
• Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides
• Co-ordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials, such as Web sites, CDs and interactive terminals
• Co-ordinate sub-contracting
• Work in a multidisciplinary environment
Job Requirements:
• Education: Graphic design or equivalent design degree/ college diploma
• Experience: 2 years of working experience
• Creative ability and artistic talent, as demonstrated by a portfolio of work
• Essential Skills:
- Client orientation
- Excellent design and creative acumen
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly attentive to detail, layout, colour and typography
- Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks from concept through implementation and deliver quality outcomes on time and on budget
