Seasonal Farm worker Job

A Heart 4 People Farm is looking for seasonal farm workers to help us during our busiest growing months. We are a small, community-focused farm that provides fresh produce to families in need throughout Southern Maryland. These are busy times, and we truly need extra hands. Position Overview
Seasonal Farm Workers support daily vegetable production tasks including harvesting, field maintenance, and preparing crops for distribution. Work is hands-on, outdoors, and ideal for individuals who enjoy physical activity and contributing to community-based agriculture.

Responsibilities
Harvesting vegetables

Weeding, mulching, and general field upkeep

Trellising and preparing beds for fall plantings

Assisting with irrigation

Picking and packing produce

Working independently or in small crews (1–2 people)

Schedule & Pay
Pay: $16–$20 per hour (based on experience)

Hours: 7am–12pm (July & August)

Days: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays (choose 2–3 days/week)

Season: Starts ASAP through end of November

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly

Requirements
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Reliable, positive, and able to work with minimal guidance

Farm experience helpful but not required

Location
Aquasco, MD — convenient to Charlotte Hall, Mechanicsville, Hughesville, Waldorf, and surrounding Southern Maryland communities.

• Comfortable working outdoors
You’ll be working in sun, heat, light rain, and typical Maryland summer weather.

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
This includes carrying harvest bins, mulch bags, and produce crates.

• Reliable and punctual
We depend on our team — showing up on time makes a big difference during busy harvest days.

• Able to work independently
Much of the work is done in small crews of 1–2 people, so being self-motivated is important.

• Comfortable with physical labor
Tasks include bending, lifting, walking, pulling weeds, and harvesting crops.

• Positive attitude and good communication
We’re a small team, and kindness goes a long way.

• Must be able to work 2–3 mornings per week
Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays — 7am to 12pm.
