Toronto Interventional Pain Clinic is currently seeking a Psychiatrist to join our growing multidisciplinary pain management team. We are looking for a qualified and motivated physician with an interest in supporting patients experiencing chronic pain, mental health concerns, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, sleep disturbance, addiction-related concerns, and other psychological or psychiatric conditions that may impact pain management and overall functioning.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced pain physicians, interventional specialists, and clinical support staff in a modern outpatient clinic environment focused on improving patient function, quality of life, mental health, and long-term treatment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

The Psychiatrist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with psychiatric, psychological, and pain-related concerns. Duties may include performing comprehensive psychiatric consultations, developing individualized treatment plans, providing follow-up care, prescribing and monitoring medications where clinically appropriate, and collaborating with physicians, allied health professionals, and referring providers.

The physician may assess and manage patients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic pain-related distress, somatic symptom concerns, insomnia, substance use concerns, medication-related issues, and other mental health conditions that may affect pain management, rehabilitation, and daily functioning.

The physician will also be expected to maintain accurate medical records, communicate effectively with referring physicians, and contribute to a professional, patient-centered clinical environment.

Qualifications

Applicants must be eligible for or currently hold registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Candidates should have training and experience in Psychiatry, with an interest in chronic pain, addiction medicine, mental health, rehabilitation, or collaborative care considered an asset.

Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinic setting are required.

Compensation and Schedule

This is a full-time position based on 40 hours per week, with compensation at $125.00 per hour under a fee-for-service payment model. Scheduling may be flexible depending on clinic needs and physician availability.
