We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team! We are looking for candidates who possess excellent organizational skills, make decisive decisions, have keen attention to detail, and can work independently or provide technical support. In this role, you will assist a mechanical engineer in all aspects of designing, developing, operating, and maintaining mechanical devices within a food processing plant.
Primary Responsibilities: • Provide support in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications using both conventional and computer-assisted design (CAD) tools. • Conduct a variety of mechanical tests and analyses on machines, components, and materials within a defined scope. • Assist in the design of moulds, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to be utilized in manufacturing processes. • Contribute to the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. • Take part in activities involving the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Requirements of Position: • Secondary School Diploma, a college program in Mechanical Engineering will be an asset. • At least 1 year of related experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technician. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Proficient English language skills. • Capacity to perform well under pressure.
Compensation & Conditions: • Permanent, full-time positions • $33.00 per hour for 35 hours per week • Overtime may be required and will be paid at 1.5 of your regular hourly rate after 44 hours per week • Benefits: Group Medical and Dental Plan
