Position: Licensed Truck & Coach Mechanic
Number of positions: 1
Duration/Type: Full Time
Location: 7130 Pacific Cir, Mississauga, ON L5T 2A6
Salary: $36.00-$40.00 per hour; The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP.
Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 30.0-40.00 Hours a week. Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable 44 hours of work per week
Major Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair operating problems in engines, transmissions, brakes, steering and suspension systems, axles, fuel and emission systems, and electrical/electronic components.
• Overhaul, adjust, and reassemble major mechanical components such as engines, clutches, differentials, and drive shafts.
• Operate computerized diagnostic and testing equipment to identify and isolate mechanical or electrical faults.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and safety checks to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with standards.
• Read and interpret work orders, service manuals, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure repairs meet industry and company standards.
• Stay current with technological advancements and continuously develop trade-related skills.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and service managers.
• Provide guidance, instruction, and mentorship to apprentices as required.

Job Requirements:
• 2-3 years of experience in truck and coach service, preferably in a dealership or commercial service center environment is required.
• Possession of a valid Truck and Coach Technician (310T) Certificate of Qualification issued by Skilled Trades Ontario or equivalent provincial certification.
• Proven proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks, diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Strong ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic codes.
• Completion of secondary school is required; post-secondary training in automotive or mechanical technology is an asset.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• A valid Ontario driver’s licence (DZ or AZ licence preferred) is an asset.
