Job Requirements Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Computer and technology knowledge: Accounting software, Quick Books, Sage Accounting Software Tasks • Reconcile invoices, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card and banking statements. • Prepare deposits. • Work with senior finance team members. • Post financial transactions to accounts and prepare financial statements. • Remit HST, corporate taxes and levies. • Remit monthly and yearly reports to Law Society of Ontario. • Be involved in the budgetary process. • Effectively communicate financial concepts with team members. • Have knowledge of trust accounting. • Have knowledge of accounting software specific to law firms such as EsiLaw, PCLaw and Unity Practice Management. • Have knowledge of Ceridian payroll software. • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements • Post journal entries • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports • Prepare tax returns • Prepare trial balance of books • Reconcile accounts
