(I.e. Huffy Bikes, SouthBend Fishing Equipment, Academy Broadway Camping Equipment, etc.) Established forecast and demand accuracy, vendor lead times, and forwarded buys for promotions. Ordered Import items from several overseas locations. Transferred/ balanced inventory for out-of-stock, and overstock situations that occurred. Developed promotional forecasts, processed relay orders, and attended semi-annual True Value memberís conventions/markets. These functions included monitoring vendorís set-ups, Deals, Forward Buys as well as seasonal & promotional shipments.
(JAN 2002- JAN 2003) BUYER Ė Assisted in negotiating vendor programs elements. Made buying decisions as to which items would be added or deleted from warehouse programs. Assisted in creating direct mail advertisements and sales promotions. Prepped semi-annual market events by preparing floor layouts, determining space and fixtures needed, and communicating this to attending vendors. Maintained and updated vendors items for semi-annual catalogs. Performed E3 daily replenishment process for assigned vendors.
