Employee and management training through teaching outlines and instructional methods, such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops
Perform simple to complex workplace investigations to identify and address employees complaints and concerns
Conduct training programs for employees, managers, and management team on harassment, discrimination, performance management, conflict skills, and interviewing techniques, as well as progressive discipline and documentation practices
Spearhead the establishment of the HR Department’s goals, programs, systems, and strategies involving talent acquisition, employment relations, compensation, health and welfare benefits, records management, training and development, and employee relations and retention
Analyze training needs and deliver solutions by facilitating courses to Management Team on performance management, including performance discussions, performance issue recognition, disciplinary action process, and developmental plans, while mitigating risk by resolving involuntary terminations
Coordinate with the Legal Team in ensuring compliance of vendor contracts and all employment legal issues with set regulations, as well as in responding to external agency charges from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
Fulfill key functions related to employee benefits and payroll operations including the following:
Establishment and maintenance of a pay grade system, while proposing changes to the company's base pay, short- and long-term incentives and indirect compensation plans;
Management of company wage and salary structure, compensation policies, and variable pay systems including bonuses and pay increases;
Oversight of all pay practices and systems for effectiveness and cost containment;
Gathering of payroll information and updating of payroll records through review and approval of changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, job titles, and department transfers;
Identification of payroll liabilities by approving calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, as well as employer's social security, unemployment, and workers’ compensation payments;
Accurate balancing of payroll accounts by addressing payroll discrepancies, while maintaining confidentiality and up-to-date records of all employee information in the human resource information system;
