HEAD VOLLEYBALL COACH / Blocksport Volleyball Club Richardson, TX 2016 - Present • Recruited 6 new players and Assistant Coaches by holding tryouts and identifying potential in both the players and possible coaching staff. • Determined a players’ position according to their talent by holding open games. • Voted ‘Coach of The Month’, two months in a row. • Prepared budgets, organized and coordinated transportation for events and collected any associated costs. • Facilitated spirit of sportsmanship, social development and positive relationships in my team of girls between the ages 13-16. • Independently evaluated day-to-day activities of the girls’ volleyball program, as well as individually and made necessary improvements. • Reported directly to the Director of Athletics, keeping her abreast of all planning, organizing, staff and development of Blocksport’s volleyball program. • Organized community service projects to enhance the reputation and experience of the volleyball program at Blocksport.
ASSISTANT/ GRADUATE VOLLEYBALL COACH / University of Arkansas- Monticello, AR 2016 - 2016 • Assisted the Head Coach in evaluating and recruiting 5 new players to join our volleyball program. • Assisted in the observation of the performance of each player and the entire team and making necessary improvements. • Acted as a liaison between the head coaching staff and players; establishing effective communication between the two. • Instructed students on following sports regulations, formats and game techniques, to prevent injuries. • Conducted daily exercise sessions and practice drills, while simultaneously innovating routines for sustaining players’ interests. HEAD VOLLEYBALL COACH/ SPORTS SPECIALIST / Plano Sports Authority 2015 - 2016 • Demonstrated abilities to take the initiative and ownership of projects, including leading the recruitment search for volunteer coaches; resulting in over 30 volunteer coaches joining our volleyball program. • Created daily agendas and executed plans to assist in the development of the players as well as the coaching staff and volunteers. • Completed daily checks of sports facilities to include availability of safety equipment, condition of equipment and cleanliness of each program area. • Placed emphasis on safe play, teamwork, sportsmanship and self- esteem development. • Planned and facilitated fundraisers to maintain an annual budget of up to $20K, to the benefit of the team as well as the entire volleyball organization. • Organized, managed and supervised athletic activities, practice sessions, and tournaments ASSISTANT VOLLEYBALL COACH / Western Texas College Snyder, TX 2015 – 2015 • Assistant Coach to 3 players named First Team All- Conference, which lead to third in the regional conference. • Assisted the Head Coach in planning for training sessions and holding practice matches. • Maintained the availability of the required sporting gear and equipment and ordering new equipment for better performance. • Assisted in the preparation of game tactics and strategies. ASSISTANT VOLLEYBALL COACH / Prairie View A&M University Prairie View, TX 2012 – 2015 • Supported the Head Coach in conducting trials and identifying the strengths and abilities of each player. • Performed secretarial and managerial functions as instructed by the Head Coach. • Raised funds to increase the women’s volleyball budget. • Worked with coaching staff regarding game scouting reports and game strategies for opponents.
