o Processed applications for Water Affordability and Homestead Property Tax Exemption
• Contracted with independent contractors to perform energy audits for Housewarming/Weatherization and electricity conservation.
• Recruited, trained and retained gifted staff by writing grants for training and program dollars resulting in negligible employee turnover.
• Generate new fee for service income of more than $50,000 per year by “selling” in house teams’ skills and services to other non-profits and private owners as they chose to outsource tasks.
• Networked in social service non-profit community to bring resource to residents. Some examples, job training, employment opportunities, housing assistance, day care resources and free tax preparation. (Over ten years the free tax preparation made it possible for area residents to receive $500,000 in earned income tax credits.)
• Saved $40,000 in operating dollars by utilizing Court Community Service workers to remodel office spaces, rework electrical, assist elderly resident with home repairs and maintenance as well as routine clerical tasks.
• CDBG and other funding proposal writing, contracting and reporting
