Security Manager Aug 2007–Present
Develop and implement programs for the safety and security for all Moscone Center attendees, clients, employees, performers, public officials, SMG executive administration, the city and county of San Francisco.
Lead the day-to-day operation of the on-site parking including event, non-event, and employee parking operations (including shuttle operations); executed the transportation management plan with the SFMTA.
Provide management for all aspects of event and building security, risk management, emergency preparedness, and venue security plan (VSP), implement SMG best practices as a SEMP Team member.
Participate in collective bargaining agreement negotiations for labor management with SEIU/USWW 1877.
Develop and administer security department’s fiscal budget; (180k) PCO-Parking Control Officers, (90k) 10-B SFPD Police Officers, oversee parking meters on Howard street and self-post “no parking” signs for SFMTA.
Manage two 24/7 security control rooms, support event command centers, radio communications, Trackforce security operations software, and emergency life safety responder systems.
Schedule and coordinate with King-American Ambulance Company for medical support and emergency transportation for every event, staff all three first aid stations, and assist event managers with billing.
Spearhead security efforts to enhance physical security (access control, barrier systems, visitor and vendor management systems, vehicle control, protective lighting systems).
Implement Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS) & Wireless Priority Service (WPS) for The Moscone Center in event of a major catastrophic incident through Department of Homeland Security.
Tasked to be Lead Security Manager assigned to execute NFL security procedures & guidelines during the NFL experience at Moscone Center for Super Bowl 50 celebration (2016).
Serve as an Event Security Manager for NBA weekend in New Orleans for the NBA All-Star Game inside the Superdome and Smoothie King Center, primary security liaison for various NBA security directors (2017).
Operate as a crowd manager, guest services ambassador, general counselor for venue management, building operations, building engineering, food & beverage operations, production, parking enforcement.
Earned Most Outstanding Security Manager of the Year Award (USA)-OSPAS/ASIS in 2017.
Received distinction as featured article in Security Magazine: Profiles in Excellence in 2016.
