• under the direction of a master carpenter, constructed, erected, installed and repaired structures and fixtures of wood, plywood and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools, and conforming to local building codes
• Marked cutting and assembly lines on materials with pencil, chalk and marking gauge.
• Shaped materials to prescribed measurements with saws, chisels and planes
• Assembled cut and shaped materials and fastened them together with nails, dowel pins, and glue.
• Verified trueness of structure with plumb bob and carpenter's level.
• Trained hands on in doing drywall and reading tape measurer.
• Covered subfloor with building paper to keep out moisture, and laid hardwood, parquet and wood-strip-block floors by nailing floors to subfloor or cementing them to mastic or asphalt base. Successfully managed a 3 person team doing drywall a mudding drywall
• Fitted and installed prefabricated window frames, doors, doorframes, weather-stripping, interior and exterior trim and finish hardware such as locks.
• Successfully handled power drills, hand saws, cordless drills.
• Structured and maintained a Safe work zone
• Erected scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
