* Member of the Converged Network Consulting Practice (North America) which was a sub-team under the overall global
Avaya Professional Services Team of professionals responsible for assessment, analysis, optimization and troubleshooting
for external customers on various network LAN/WAN technologies.
* Technical responsibilities includes, but not limited to design, implementation, engineering, configuration, analysis,
mitigations, escalation support, and troubleshoot network infrastructure to support LAN/WAN Avaya solutions for
clients’ existing infrastructure.
* Specific technical projects and tasks includes, but is not limited to reviewing LAN/WAN configuration, provide technical
recommendations to optimize settings to support real-time traffic such as VoIP and video, provide engineering
specification such as bandwidth calculations, VLAN sizing, DHCP Options for VoIP solution, design and implement
end-to-end QoS policy on multi-vendor routers/switches including Cisco, Juniper, etc.
* Specific analysis and testing projects and tasks includes, but is not limited to baseline testing to analyze current network
infrastructure as well as full load simulated traffic generations to analyze expected applications and traffic load, and
coordinate with client’s engineering team to optimize LAN/WAN network performance.
* Professional responsibilities include, but are not limited to project management, and guideline documentation to facilitate
customer or business partner performing their own assessments while ensuring compliance with project implementation
procedures, client relations, and following corporate process and procedures.
* Core LAN/WAN hardware handled: Cisco Routers (2600, 3600, 4000, 7200 series), Cisco Switches (2900, 3500, 3700,
6500 series), Juniper E-Series (120, 320), Juniper M-Series (160, 320), Juniper MX-Series (480, 2010, 2020), Cisco ASA,
Juniper Firewall, etc.
* Core LAN/WAN technologies handled: SIP, H.323, G.7xx codecs, TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, QoS/802.1p, DSCP,
HSRP/VRRP, Frame-Relay, MPLS, T1, DS3, MetroEthernet, Ethernet 100/1000.

Responsibilities handled:

* Member to a team of professionals responsible for design, implementation, configuration and troubleshooting of
converged communications networks to external clients which includes data communications equipment, voice, network
systems, and multimedia infrastructure.

* Professional responsibilities include, but are not limited to a resource for junior-level engineers on network issues, direct,
coordinate, facilitate research, analysis data, planning, organization, integration, and training of various LAN/WAN
technologies which include data, voice and multimedia infrastructure.
