Objective: To obtain & maintain a secure position that will allow me to effectively utilize my expertise in the area of direct practice, in order to make a positive contribution towards helping others, while moving up the ladder of success.

Facilitate the intake process, assign diagnosis to mentally ill individuals and provides therapeutic interventions to assist them with working on goals that will improve their ability to maintain stability & subsequently, their community tenure.
Provides therapeutic services to individuals diagnosed with co-occurring disorders.
Provides intensive case management and therapeutic services to dually diagnosed individuals and referred them to alternative community resources, as needed.
Provided temporary school-based therapeutic services to children and adolescents.
Provides therapeutic services in an outpatient setting, as well as, in the form of home visits.
Serves in the capacity of an emergency/crisis counselor, as needed.
Facilitated regular site visits and provided supportive assistance & immediate crisis intervention to individuals at federal government Co-op contract sites.
Provided services designed to help employees & supervisors identify factors which may impede job performance.
Provided intensive case management to children, adolescents & their families.
Developed & implemented TX plans .
Served as TX team leader & advocated for client services .
Collaborated with other agencies to plan, coordinate & monitor client services.
Completed required Medicaid documentation of services into the BCMS database.
Participated in the process of assigning an appropriate DSM-IV diagnosis to clients upon intake.

B.S. in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Claflin College in May of 1997.

Masters of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh in 1999.

Currently enrolled at Northcentral University online in the PdD in Psychology program.

Extra skills includes being proficient in Wordperfect, Internet Exploer and Microsoft Outlook.
