In a short span of time, made positive
and distinctive changes and progress in
the company. In 1999, started as a
General Manager of Sather Trucking; in
2005, was promoted to Director of
Transportation; and in 2008, as Vice
President of Logistics.


- Functioned as primary driver in the
selection of strategic locations of
- Successfully negotiated a total of ten
(10) lease contracts under conditions
favorable for the company.
- Successfully negotiated vendor
contracts, leases and transportation
rates in nine (9) different states.
- Was brought in as a senior leader to
manage and oversee the successful
implementation and transition of eight
(8) major business acquisitions (Now and
Later, Super Bubble, Trolli, Bob’s Candy
Company, Brach’s, Fruit Stripe Gum,

reviewing current network and
facilities. Restructured distribution
network and saved $5M in transportation
cost by closing a major facility due to
its out of position location and
unnecessary freight cost.

lease structures of buildings and was

Between free rent and capital outlay,
savings generated were:
a. 2009, $8M in savings in
negotiating a 1,060,000-square-foot
building in Grand Prairie, Texas.
b. 2006, $3M in savings in
negotiating a 364,000-square-foot
building in Grand Prairie, Texas.

- Efficiently executed a transportation
budget of $60M.
- Supervise all aspects of the
operations of three (3) internal
warehouses with 110 personnel located in
states of Tennessee and Minnesota, and
three (3) PL warehouses. Responsible for
total budget allocation of $20M ($10M
for internal warehouses and another $10M
for the (3) PL warehouses).
- Oversee the operations of company’s
private fleet consisting of 150 power
units and full service shops located in
three (3) states.
- Monitor product import or export
processes to ensure compliance with
International Customs Rules and
Regulations. Took initiative of hiring
two (2) customs expert to ensure
existing rules and regulations are
complied with.
- Accountable for closing facilities as
cost-saving measure, announcing shut-
downs and establishment of new
distribution network after such
- Implement aggressive management
controls and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Plan, prepare and execute
organizational oversight in cross-
functional departments.
- Maintain receiving, warehousing and
distribution operations by initiating
and enforcing program operational and
personnel policies and procedures.


- Prospect optimum warehouse locations
and recommend best locations based on
comprehensive analysis of inbound and
outbound costs which resulted to
increase logistics performance and
savings to the company.
- Assisted with warehouses
infrastructure plans. Warehouses
consisted of diverse floor areas ranging
from 100,000 square feet to 1,060,000
square feet, in strategic locations
- Conceptualized the creation of a
dedicated fleet that ensured lower
freight cost and improved functionality.
Resultantly, streamlined the continued
operations of fifty (50) dedicated power
- Reduced transportation costs by as
much as $3M by setting up a pool
delivery network system over thirty (30)
locations in the USA which permitted
shipment of normal LTL freight as
truckload freight into the pools. This
strategy eliminated longer transit times
and costs associated with LTL freight.
- Developed and implemented cost-
effective methods and procedures for
transportation system. Prior to
company’s engagement, delivery cost per
pound was 14 cents, drastically reduced
the same to half.
- Streamlined improvements in internal
and external logistics systems and
- Design models, process and provide
risk management actions concerning
transportation and logistics systems.
- Rendered due diligence reports to
measure cost effectiveness, productivity
and timeliness of services.
- While at Farley’s, was brought in as a
team leader for network optimization.
Led cross-functional team in executing
the integration of facilities and
logistics optimization. The complex
network optimization project was
successfully completed within a six (6)
months’ time frame and generated $5M
bottom line savings.
