Served on corporate office expansion responsible for the entirety of data infrastructure design as well as budget where office design would be multimode fiber between floors with horizontal cabling through drop ceilings, six different P2P frame-relay connections between corporate and remote offices, and backup ISDN lines.
The entire infrastructure design and installation took one month, but data equipment and services was up and completed in one weekend.
Helped to consolidate parent company into premises of a subsidiary companys existing data center where two employees would remain in San Diego, but phone service would be handled by PBX in The Clevelanders Miami data center.
Installed a VoIP data card into PBX backplane to translate call services to VoIP and forwards to IP phones; reorganized data center to physically separate parent company servers and network appliances which was done in two months that also had to be coordinated with a zero downtime policy; created separate VLAN on The Clevelanders network.
Shut down, packed and shipped systems/network equipment on Friday and had all systems installed, powered up, and on network by Saturday afternoon.
Served on a project for ESPN who hosted an online Super Bowl gaming event that required The Clevelander to leverage the total bandwidth of the entire property (also supports companys POS and internet access for hotel guests).
Service configuration on switches and routers connected to gaming area involving QoS testing for data surges from the rest of the property; implemented temporary ISDN lines for broadcasting services.
Implemented a redundancy plan with metro-e-links, ISDN lines, and a PTP connection; then dismantled configurations for event and restored original configurations.
Served on a project for Porto Vista hotel where the network infrastructure was designed to be a secured, remotely controlled network and to gain control the network/server had to be completely wiped and configurations had to start from scratch, but all this had to be done while maintaining live support to guests in the hotel and restaurant.
Installing, configuring, and implementing entire network environment parallel to current network infrastructure, and transferred data while both systems/domains were parallel with zero downtime.
