Photobromination, electrophilic and nucleophilic
aromatic substitution, Fisher esterification, Grignard

using thin layer (TLC) and gas chromatography,

Additional Information:
Undergraduate Research
Two semesters studying life span of fruit flies (D.
melanogaster) when exposed to diet containing
glucuronolactone at varied concentrations. Also,
studying life span of fruit flies placed in erythritol-
rich (truvia) media versus sucrose. Responsibilities
included fly food preparation, segregating flies
according to gender, setting up the experiment,
collecting data, searching relevant to the
experiment literature, writing further research
proposal.
