In addition to curriculum planning/alignment, Common Core State Standards and APPR, my expertise spans: district leadership, program design/implementation, assessment preparations, team building, public relations, communications/publications, presentations, technology integration, grant writing and personnel management. Other areas of school operations where I have knowledge and experience include: Local, State and Federal Programs (NCLB, Race to the Top, and local initiatives), staff training, school finance (budget development and referendum campaigns), Response to Intervention initiatives, special education, gifted/talented education, and strategic planning.


Education:
My experience in technology includes that of a planner, facilitator, curriculum developer, and staff trainer. Further, I have served as the architect of several district technology plans that are aligned with state standards, curriculum, and assessments. These plans increased school-community links and provided state-of-the art technology laboratories as well.



I possess knowledge and experience with a multitude of different computers, and have conducted numerous staff development technology programs that enhance instruction. I have also been exposed to the State Department of Education software and hardware resources, and have taken specific courses to familiarize myself with Basic Word Processing, Internet Usage, Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, the Scantron Student Achievement Series, NY Learns, Turning Technologies Student Response Solutions, Qwizdom Audience Response Systems, Achieve 3000/Teen Biz, e-Scholar, Win Cap Fiscal Management System, and Infinite Campus Student Management System.

My expertise as a professional development trainer is also quite extensive, as I enjoy working with adult learners. Additional Information:
Most recently, as Interim Superintendent of Schools for the Islamic Education Foundation of New Jersey (IEF), I assisted our staff in utilizing the Wiggins and McTigue Backwards Design Model, for the design of Curriculum Maps and Student Achievement Plans that promoted multiple intelligences as well as differentiated instruction. Together, we developed a Harassment, Intimidation & Bullying (HIB) Board Policy, Student Code of Conduct with Parent Resource Guide; we expanded career development opportunities; and we improved school-community relations through the use of such initiatives as: Ed-Line, School Reach, and the IEF District Newsletter. In addition, we generated several supplementary revenue sources through new grant initiatives. This spirit of teamwork and pursuit of academic excellence has been embraced in all of my endeavors.
