Experience: Biodiversity Monitor 5/2011 - 8/2011 The Nature Conservancy Boulder, Colorado Nature.org A three month summer internship in the northeastern section of Colorado (Kirk County). The area consisted of the Arikaree River and sandsage hills. Duties consisted of: • Monitoring levels of ground water • Mapping prairie dog habitats using GPS and ArcGIS • Collecting various photo-points and comparing them to previous years photos to determine general health of area. • Devising a strategy to control the spread of bullfrogs in the region ENVIRONMENTAL WORK Volunteering June 2010 Wild Mountains Trust Brisbane, Queensland Australia http://wildmountains.org/ The Wild Mountains Trust is an independent, community focused, non-profit organization providing leadership in environmental education and conservation. • Assisted in planting 200+ native trees • Built numerous hiking trails on the property • Assisted in building A-frame cabins • Built a natural cobblestone retaining wall
