Objective:
I seek a gainful position in efforts that involve freelance writing be it reportorial, technical or features-type. Absent this, my interest extends to areas such as computer systems, insuramce operations, health care and educational research initiatives. A recent retiree, I desire a more active pace in life and will to take on a part-time, seasonal, multiple-shift, contract or even full-time assignments. Multi-lingual, I am fluent in English, Spanish and Filipino and have had Ilocano/Tagalog-English interpreting assignments for Berlitz International in courts and SSA offices. A music advocate, I enjoy playing a banduria with a wife soon to retire as a Chicago Public School Nurse and herself an expert laud player.

Experience:
As a writer, I have authored a variety of reports, commentaries, profiles and news about Chicago Ethnic Music based on actual coverage of cultural events sponsored by ethnic communities in Chicago and outlying suburbs. Write-ups vary in focus from musicality to people and places behind it, oftentimes featuring unique music instruments such as Irish uilleans to banduria. Other areas include composing technical references and systems specifications.

As a Systems developer, I have extensive work history in analysis and programming to author modular codes integrated into the corporate claims processing systems. To date, a Cobol-written TPA "claims batch system" has processed over 3 billion dollars in paid losses and reserves.
On on-call maintenance team rotation.
