Lead Signalman/Wireman/Engineering Dept

I have 29 years experience with a class 1 railroad in the field of Signals and Communications. I have worked in both, the field on the main lines and also in a signal shop wiring bungalows. The field experience was in both construction and maintenance of signaling systems. Construction included installing cable, doing lineman work, wiring bungalows, installing batteries, laying down mechanical switches, putting up signals on both masts and cantilevers, working in both AC and DC power applications, operating both boom trucks and cranes,...etc. Maintenance was post construction involving all duties needed to keep signal system working in proper order according to FRA Rules. Duties included monthly FRA tests on equipment, using multi-meters to test all electrical circuits, battery maintenance, pole line work, switch tests, crossing gate tests, ...etc. My shop experience I worked mainly as a wireman building bungalows and cases for new installations. Duties included print reading and design of signal, switch, crossing gate, and control point locations for new construction. After material placements and installation into the bungalow, drilling and tagging terminal board for placements of power, flasher, and cable busses , wiring of each component, termination of wires completing circuits, and finally, performing final tests to insure proper working order. The bungalows would be ready for shipment to the field and installation. I have good electrical skills, I work well with both hand and power tools, and understand the principles of troubleshooting
