Objective:
Obtain a mental health counselor position where I can offer my clinical experience in mental health counseling with individual, group, family, and/or in a community setting where individuals experiencing difficult and/or transitional period in their lives maximize their potential. I offer my experience in direct clinical services, including but not limited
to, diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, collateral intervention, crisis intervention, promotion and utilization of research based curriculum, assists in academic, personal, and career growth, weekly reports relating to clients progress, and coordination of community referrals and resources. As a counselor, helping individuals explore, understand, and overcome personal, social, and/or behavioral problems as well as provide services in substance abuse and co-occurring diagnosis are experiences I hold as an intern during my masters program.

Clinical Internship: 2011-2012
Healing First at Arapahoe House, Adult Unit
Responsibilities included but not limited to individual counseling and clinical therapeutic groups to adults with severe substance addiction and/or co-occurring mental health; intake interviewing; biopsychosocial assessments; diagnosing and treating personality, anxiety, and mood disorders; case conceptualization; consultation; treatment planning; breathalyzer/urinary analysis testing; discharge summary; signal reports; concurrent reviews with insurance; case management; maintain contact with department of social services cases; aftercare planning; weekly supervision
Therapeutic interventions used but not limited to motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral, person-centered, rational emotive behavioral, solution focused, dialectical behavior, and reality therapy.

Co-facilitated Individual Education Plans and 504 assessments; Naviance; ACT/CSAP/TCAP testing; college preparation; proctor for academic testing; weekly department supervision; created and implemented 6 week study skills group
