Developed and rolled out new policies and procedures standardizing operations in 37 separate locations with 175 employees and reduced employee turnover. Through committee leadership and facilitation, identified and implemented strategic initiatives to achieve multi-unit management achieving cost savings and enhanced employee satisfaction. Facilitated nutrition and facilities department discussions to develop standardized space and equipment standards for new construction. Served as an effective and active district representative during labor negotiations. Implemented student choice menus and healthful ala carte offerings strengthening enterprise money fund balances and enhancing customer satisfaction. Developed and implemented staff training. Fostered agreements with Colorado State University and The University of Northern Colorado for Dietetic Internship affiliations. The legacy achievement in both districts was the facilitation and creation of two, still-functioning Colorado school food service purchasing cooperatives. Attended Officer Advanced Course, completed Command and General Staff College, and the US Army Baylor Masters Degree Program in Health Care Administration. The capstone project for the Masters Program evaluated the feasibility of implementing Home Health Care in a large San Antonio Hospital by interviewing various department directors. As the first individual assigned to a new position at the Pentagon, spearheaded development of war-time doctrine, equipment and food lists, supervised research and development of new hospital food products and portable tray lines. Chaired committee of all Armed Services Chief Dietitians (Army Navy, Marines, Air Force) to develop a single multi-service war-time diet manual.
